School lunch ideas for kids can be challenging especially when you are dealing with dietary restrictions. Today we are listing our top dairy-free lunch ideas to inspire school lunches that go beyond the sandwich!
Here’s what you will need for these lunch ideas. And again we are using this set of BPA free lunch containers that give you at least 3 compartments for your kiddos lunch.
Lunch 1 – Eggs, Fruit & Pretzels
Ingredients Needed
- Hard boiled eggs with avocados
- Pretzels
- Orange
- Red Grapes
How To Put Your Dairy Free School Lunch Together
- Boil eggs. Cut them in half. Take yolk from one egg and mix it with avocado and place it back into the egg whites.
- Wash grapes and dry them and place them into the lunch containers.
- Peel an orange and place it into the container.
- Add mini pretzels to it’s own section of the container to avoid them getting soggy.
Lunch 2 – Turkey Rolls, Fruit, Cucumbers & Walnut Salad
Ingredients Needed
- Apples with walnuts
- Turkey rolls
- Sliced cucumbers
- Strawberries & Blueberries

- Roll up your deli sliced turkey or any other lunch meat your have on hand and put it on the lunch container.
- Add a cupcake liner and put your blueberries in them to keep them together in the lunch container.
- Add strawberries next to the blueberries.
- Peel your cucumber and slice it thinly and add it to your lunch container.
- Wash your apple and slice them and then cut the slices in half and then dice them. Add walnuts.
Lunch 3 – Chicken, Grapes, carrot Sticks & Hummus

- Hummus with carrots
- Chicken strips
- Red grapes

- Slice your chicken. Whether your chicken is leftover, rotisserie, or frozen, these chicken slices are a great source of protein.
- Wash off grapes and then dry them off before adding them to the lunch container.
- Place the hummus and carrots in separate areas of the lunch container.
Lunch 4 – Pinwheels, Carrots, Banana Chips & an Orange
Ingredients Needed
- Ham & Spinach Pinwheel (wrapped in flour tortilla)
- Carrots
- Banana chips
- Orange

- Lay our your tortilla and lay down the ham and spinach and then roll it tightly. Laying on it’s side slice it up.
- Wash and peel your carrot sticks and cut your carrot into 3 pieces and then cut those pieces in half.
- Put your banana chips in their own spot in the lunch container so they stay crunchy.
- Add a cupcake liner and put the orange slices in it to keep them together and from getting your pinwheels soggy.
Lunch 5 – Turkey & Pepperoni Rolls, Celery Sticks, Cucumber Salad and Berries
Ingredients Needed
- Celery with almond butter
- Turkey & Pepperoni rolls
- Cucumber & Tomato salad
- Blackberries & Blueberries

- Place the pepperoni in your turkey and roll it tightly and then add it to your lunch container.
- Cut up your celery stalk into smaller pieces and use a butter knife to spread almond butter inside it.
- Slice your cucumbers and then cut each slice into 4’s and do the same to the strawberries.
- Put the blueberries and blackberries in a section of the lunch container together.
