HOT TAKES: AP Gets Blasted for Attack on Musk's X, While Elon Gets the Last Laugh

We’ve seen media going completely over the line when it comes to bias in the aid of Kamala Harris and the Democratic narrative.

We saw the bias of the ABC moderators during the debate. We’ve seen the media constantly twisting the statements of former President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance. There was, for example, the AP’s horrible twist on what JD Vance said about a school shooting, claiming he said it was a “fact of life,” but leaving out that he said it was a bad thing that it was a fact of life. Some of the media doesn’t seem to even care anymore how overboard it goes in what they say or how much they lie, as long as it helps the Democrats.

Then there was the AP’s take on Kamala’s “private side” — that was basically about her food likes, not about any policies or plans. It was gag-producing nonsense.

As some are fond of saying, “You don’t hate the media enough” for how they have sold their souls, selling out what is supposed to be their job.

Latest AP Article on Kamala Harris’ ‘Private Side’ More Proof Journalism Is Truly Dead

However, the AP proved it could still go lower, with an attack on Thursday on Elon Musk’s X platform:

Why is an alleged news site encouraging people to abandon one of the premier news dissemination organs in the country/world? The attack is clearly a political one. Why do they want to harm an American business?

The problem is the left hates that they no longer have control of the platform, that there is far more free speech now than there was before Musk bought the platform. However, free speech is not good when it might expose the narrative as a narrative.

Not only did they attack X in their story, but they tried to advertise for alternatives:

Some blame Musk for turning a place that used to be fun into one that’s chaotic and toxic, pointing to moves like allowing polarizing figures such as Donald Trump back in. Others are turned off by Musk’s juvenile humor or by how he’s increasingly barging into their feeds with his posts, often to amplify far-right tropes

They’re defecting to rival sites like Blue Sky, Mastodon, Meta’s Threads and Reddit.

And provided links for those sites.

Yeah, no, they’re really not defecting.

People just inundated the post, ripping the AP to shreds over how bad it is.

Here was journalist Adam Housley, saying how far the site had fallen from what it used to be, when it once was considered a neutral, respected news organ.

Former Colorado Senator Cory Gardner:

Many offered that they’d rather block the AP:

But X CEO Linda Yaccarino hit a home run with her response to the AP:

Now, that’s truly funny.

How insane it is that they want to attack X — while posting on X. Obviously, they can’t even stay away from it, and they prove how wrong they are by continuing to be on X.

Not only did X get the laugh on the AP with Yaccarino’s comment, but with the facts, according to The Economic Times. No, they’re not really defecting from X like the AP claims:

X, which was previously known as Twitter, is showing significant improvement from its rebranding in May 2024 and the user engagement is also very much impressive. During mid-July, the growth rate reached at a height of 28%. X maintained a growth of 22% by the end of August, which indicates that the social media platform is really influential and performing well. However, Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook is facing some pressing issues based on controversial posts or stories, which are affecting its rep.

Oof. No wonder the AP is throwing a fit.
