We’re only on week two of the College Football Playoff rankings and the top five have already been shaken up. After losses by both Georgia and Miami, two spots will more than likely open up in the top ten and automatic bids for the inaugural 12-team playoff will be a bit more difficult to come by. Outside of that, nothing major should change on an otherwise quiet front when it comes to the college football world. The SEC is in a logjam right now, with the potential for an eight-way tie at the top. It’s very likely that a duel between Texas and Texas A&M could decide who makes the SEC title game. Grab your popcorn for that. In the ACC, Miami losing threw everyone for a loop, but with Pitt also going down against Virginia, the race between SMU, Miami and Clemson is still on. For the Group of Five, Boise State keeps on winning, but they can’t slip up. Army is hot on their heels and still has a date with Notre Dame left on the schedule.
