Early Wednesday morning brought news of the assassination of Hamas political head, Ismail Haniyeh, thought to be carried out by Mossad on Tuesday, and which has since been acknowledged by Israel:

According to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran early Tuesday after attending the inauguration of the newly-elected President of Iran and meeting with Supreme Leader Khameini. Haniyeh is one of the most senior Hamas leaders, and led the political operations of the terrorist group from the safety and luxury of Qatar.

We also shared about Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei threatening Israel that he would avenge the death, referring to Haniyeh as a martyr:

“The criminal, terrorist Zionist regime martyred our dear guest in our territory and has caused our grief, but it has also prepared the ground for a severe punishment.”

Someone else who has reacted to the death of the murderous thug who carried out the Ayatollah’s whims is Zahra Billoo. She echoed Iran’s statement by mourning him as a martyr. Described as “a disgraced former Women’s March leader and the executive director of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in San Francisco,” Billoo also has donated almost $1,000 to Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MN)’s campaign coffers. This is a person who is so toxic, even the Women’s March’s board ejected her after two days, for writing vile, antisemitic tweets in 2019.

On Wednesday, Billoo wrote in a thread on X, invoking not only the Iranian leader’s words, but the antisemitic slogan of the pro-Hamas mob:

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon. When Israel slaughtered Ismail Haniyeh’s children, he said:

“The blood of my children is not more valuable than the blood of the people of Palestine and all the martyrs in Gaza are my children.”

“Never say that those martyred in the cause of Allah are dead—in fact, they are alive! But you do not perceive it.”

Tonight, we mourn Ismail himself but know his martyrdom is not in vain. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. [emphasis added]

In a later post, she doubled down:

I mourn yesterday’s martyrs because I can see the horrific path killing peace negotiators leads to.

I mourn for every innocent life claimed by Israel’s decades long occupation, and now a genocide that has claimed 180,000 more Palestinian lives in the past 300 days.

Even those controversial remarks are nothing new for the progressive activist and antisemite, who has even made one of her pet causes questioning why Americans honor the fallen on Memorial Day, calling out the U.S. military as “people who commit war crimes”:

“You think we should honor people who commit war crimes?” she asked in one post.

“Did not and does not celebrate #MemorialDay,” Billoo posted in a long 2019 thread. “There cannot be any honor earned through participation in dishonorable wars.”

Disgraceful.

My colleague Jeff Charles shared this hilarious, yet apt meme on X for all of us to enjoy:
