As RedState reported earlier, actor George Clooney threw some fans, fellow liberal activists, and Democrat stalwarts for a loop with an op-ed he penned, published Wednesday by the New York Times, in which he called on Joe Biden to bow out, citing how he looked at the debate and at the now-infamous June fundraiser in Los Angeles.
“…the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate,” Clooney wrote, essentially admitting that he was one of the many who looked the other way on Biden’s cognitive health and propped him up because Orange Man Bad – until Biden outed himself to the nation on June 27th.

“We can put our heads in the sand and pray for a miracle in November, or we can speak the truth,” Clooney also said, which was rather hilarious considering how the American people have been lied to by privileged Democrats like him for four years now about Biden’s mental acuity.
Not surprisingly, the Biden campaign’s handlers have sprung into action in the aftermath of the Clooney op-ed, which has had reverberations throughout Hollywood, with veteran actor Michael Douglas seemingly endorsing Clooney’s call on Biden.
Their response? To suggest that Biden has more stamina than Clooney because the POTUS allegedly stayed at the fundraiser for a lot longer than Clooney did.
The bemused “okay” reaction in the below clip from Jake Tapper to the report pretty much said it all:

To state the obvious, one doesn’t have to be a big admirer of George Clooney to be able to see that the guy could run circles around Joe Biden. Of course, that’s not saying much, to be honest, but the facts don’t care about anyone’s feelings and all that.
It’s been amazing to watch how the Biden White House and his campaign team have tried to handle the fallout from his disastrous debate appearance, taking what was a trainwreck and turning it into a national catastrophe with no end in sight.
It’s clear that despite what they knew all along about Biden, his handlers were not expecting what happened at the debate – nor the fallout that commenced, with even the loyalist of media outlets turning on them out of sheer panic that the “open secret” that wasn’t so secret was finally out for the country to see.
That being said, one wonders if the enablers in his administration and campaign will get the same “we won’t hire you!” treatment Trump’s staffers did from our intellectual betters on the left for allegedly being a threat to democracy or whatever.
After all, isn’t deliberately trying to hide who the president really is from the people of this country — and in effect having others make decisions on his behalf – “dangerous for democracy”? Just a thought.
