Cute & Easy Alligator Craft Made from a Clothespin


Let’s talk easy alligator crafts! This super simple alligator craft for kids of all ages only requires a few items like paint, glue, googly eyes, clothespins, and a couple other things you likely have on hand. It is easy enough to be used for preschool alligator crafts and older kids may want to create alligator clips for their locker so have fun making clothespin alligators at home or in the classroom!

Alligator Craft for Kids

This Alligator Clothespin Craft is a fun way to practice fine motor skills for  little ones. They’ll love chomping and biting, pretending to be a scary predator.

I used this craft for my preschooler, but this would be great for kindergarteners and even first graders. If you add a magnet to the back, you can turn this alligator craft into fridge magnets or a locker clip for older kids. This alligator craft is a new fun project that uses paint, clothes pins, markers, glue, and googly eyes!

Supplies Needed For This Easy Alligator Craft

Instructions for Cute And Chompy Easy Alligator Craft

Step 1

Start by painting your clothespins with the green paint.

Step 2

Cut the foam into small strips with triangular teeth.

Step 3

Step 3 - alligator craft- paint the clothespin green, outline it in green, glue googly eyes, and glue the white foam teeth on it.
Outline your painted clothespin in green and don’t forget to add the googly eyes and foam teeth!

Once the paint is dry, color the sides of each clothespin with the black marker, then glue the teeth onto the sides.

Step 4

Step 4 - alligator craft preschool kids will like- painted green clothespin, outlined in green, with googly eyes, and white foam teeth.

Use the green marker to outline your alligator, covering up the top of the white foam.

Add two dots on the top for the nose, then glue on the googly eyes.
