Golf fans are losing their minds over the International’s Day 2 dominance at the Presidents Cup

The International Team came out with a bang Friday afternoon at the Presidents Cup.

They came into the second day down 5-0, needing a momentum boost to recoup from losing every match on Thursday.

The Internationals erased that steep deficit after Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im beat Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay 7 & 6 to start the day.

Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith overpowered Sahith Theegala and Collin Morikawa to win 5 & 4.

Then, the all-Canadian duo Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes destroyed Wyndham Clark and Tony Finau at 6 & 5. Christiaan Bezuidenhout and veteran Jason Day took it to the 18th but ultimately beat Max Homa and Brian Harman 1UP.

The Internationals pushed down the throttle from the opening match and did not give up until they secured the victory.

It is hard to think that anyone would feel like they would come out this aggressive, but they did. These guys appeared to be on a mission, and they accomplished it.

There were so many fantastic reactions to the complete night and day performance from the Internationals.

Let’s check out some of the best ones from Friday at the Presidents Cup.

This meme about the Im, Matsuyama beatdown on the Americans is hilarious. It feels appropriate for what happened in that opening match.

Minn Woo Lee and Tom Kim sat out Friday’s foursome session, but that did not mean they were not the center of attention. These two youngsters brought the vibes.

Lee wore a custom Hockey sweater with “Chef Min” on the back, and the people loved it. His catchphrase is ‘Let him cook,’ so it was appropriate.

It was an iconic moment for the Aussie.

Not to mention, Lee was a massive cheerleader for the Internationals, giving fist pumps and getting the crowd engaged throughout Friday’s matches.

Claire Rogers may not be a fan, but her meme about Mackenzie Hughes’ pep talk on the bus is fantastic.

Something clicked for the Internationals after they fell short on Thursday. Whatever happened on that bus lit a fire in that group, and they sent a message.

The fans were lacking on Thursday, but on Friday, they redeemed themselves. One man, in particular, won seven shirts and performed in front of everyone at the opening tee.

He even caught Mike Weir’s attention.

The atmosphere was much louder for the home team throughout the day than on Thursday.

It seemed to give the Internationals some life, too.

These are just a few of the reactions from golf social media as the Presidents Cup gets more interesting by the minute.
