Kylian Mbappe officially joins Real Madrid with welcome post, team video

The winners of the Champions League will now be officially adding the best player in the world to their squad.

Real Madrid have officially announced the acquisition of French superstar Kylian Mbappe months after the signing was rumored to be close. Mbappe officially announced the move on his social media page Monday:

The club also made it official, releasing a three minute video welcoming Mbappe, who has always been a Real Madrid fan.

Mbappe goes to Real Madrid after a storied and successful career with Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 256 goals, adding 96 assists and winning 14 trophies on top of that in seven seasons. He’s the top goal scorer in PSG history, while still only being 25 years old. However, the ending of his time in Paris was a bit rocky. He always wanted to go to Real Madrid, and at the end of his time with PSG, there were a myriad of reports of dissent between him and the club’s management that soured the pot. However, PSG won’t forget the work Mbappe did there, simply because his name is on almost all the record books.

Mbappe joins a simply loaded squad at Madrid, joining Left Winger Vinicius Jr. and Right Winger Rodrygo in attack, with Jude Bellingham playing in midfield. It’s the best group in the world right now, and they go into the next season as the favorites not only for La Liga, but for the Champions League as well.
