Lamar Jackson pulled up his pants and juked a defender on the same play

Lamar Jackson did everything Sunday for the Baltimore Ravens.

The two-time NFL MVP was stellar in Baltimore’s 35-14 win over the New York Giants, completing 21-of-25 passes for 290 yards and 5 touchdowns while adding another 65 yards on the ground over just six rushing attempts. The win improved the Ravens’ record to 9-5 on the season, and with the Pittsburgh Steelers losing later in the day to the Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore’s win kept their hopes alive for an AFC North title and set up a huge showdown next Saturday against their long-time rivals.

But Jackson’s number might not have been his most impressive moment against the Giants.

Instead, that might have been this run against New York, that featured Jackson juking a defender in open space all while pulling his uniform pants back up mid-play:

Jackson can be seen tugging on his uniform pants with his left hand, before picking up a block from Tyler Linderbaum and cutting behind his center. That’s when Jackson encountered Giants defensive back Greg Stroman and, while still tugging at his pants, juked around the defender and picked up additional yardage.

The Ravens quarterback was asked about that play during his post-game press conference and, after letting out a laugh, joked that he “felt like wind was touching my butt:”

Jackson’s incredible numbers this season have certainly put him in the MVP race, along with Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen and Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley. It remains to be seen if pulling up his pants mid-play will be enough to sway voters in his direction.

But those skills might be enough to help the Ravens down the stretch.
