STEPS TO MAKE AN ORIGAMI BAT
Materials:
- One square piece of paper
- Black marker (optional)
Step 1:
Start with a square piece of paper. You can use origami paper or regular paper – both work just fine!
Step 2:
Fold the paper in half diagonally to form a triangle.
Step 3:
Fold the triangle in half again, then unfold the last crease.
Step 4:
Fold the top corner of the triangle toward the bottom edge.
Step 5:
Unfold the last fold, then fold the top corner down to one third of the paper, following the first crease.
Step 6:
Unfold the paper again, then fold the bottom part up to meet the first crease, creating a shape resembling a paper boat.
Step 7:
Fold the top corner down again.
Step 8:
Flip the paper over.
Step 9:
Fold the top side down to the bottom crease, creasing only the middle part where you’re holding the triangle.
Step 10:
Unfold the last fold, then flip the paper over.
Step 11:

Take the right side and fold it down to form a triangle shape.

Half-fold the flap on the right side outward to create a wing.
Step 26:
Repeat on the left side.
Step 27:
Flip the bat over and extend its wings.
Step 28:
Fold the top corner down enough to create the bat’s face.
