Michigan DT Kris Jenkins promises to deliver championships to whichever NFL team drafts him

Michigan defensive tackle Kris Jenkins is my favorite player in the NFL Draft this year. Competition closed.

This isn’t to say that I don’t love other players or even want my team (the Dallas Cowboys, lol) to draft this one or that one, but it is impossible that anybody is going to be as cool and interesting as Kris Jenkins was when I spoke to him.

Thanks to our friends at Bounty and P&G and Meijer, I was able to talk to Kris this past Thursday and he did not disappoint at all. You can watch our conversation below.

Ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, P&G and Meijer are teaming up to provide players with essentials from trusted P&G brands like Bounty to help them be Ready For Anything as they begin their pro careers. Football fans consume billions of wings every football season, and Bounty is the only paper towel that can tackle the mess. For fans tuning into this year’s NFL Draft, remember: you can’t have football without wings, and you can’t have wings without Bounty.

To celebrate the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, Meijer shoppers can use mPerks to save $15 on purchases of $50 or more on P&G products like Bounty, Gillette, Tide and more through April 27. During Draft week, the first P&G Draft House presented by Meijer will be on the ground in Detroit to welcome players and equip them with essentials they’ll be able to count on no matter where they find themselves heading after they’re drafted.

I’d challenge you to find anybody who is more full of life and joy than Kris. Seriously. But do not mistake that kind exterior for anything relative to the actual football field. “The Mutant”, as he is well-known, offers a high level of disruption along the interior of any defensive line and was a big reason why the Wolverines were so successful and are National Champions.

In case you did not know, Kris is an NFL legacy. His father and uncle both played in the NFL.

We often see in sports that players who saw what professional life was like while growing up tend to be more ready for that. There is no doubt in my mind that Kris is ready just because of who he is, but it is clear that he is prepared for the professional aspect of football at the NFL level.

Near the end of our conversation I asked him to talk to the fans of the team that was going to draft him and tell them what they are getting in him. His answer ruled.

Congratulations to whoever drafts Kris Jenkins. He is the best.
