Old Signs of Amman Museum in Amman, Jordan

This small museum is filled with vintage signs, many of them hand-painted. It was founded by the calligraphy enthusiast Ghazi Khattab, who started collecting signs in 1985.

More than 1,000 signs hang on the walls of the small space, from advertisements to street signs to business and train station signs. The museum’s oldest sign was created in 1949. They come from Jordan and other locations, including Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq. If you are into lettering and sign painting this place is great.
