The JSI Showroom: Revisiting Fulton Market Innovation

Since moving to Fulton Market over a year ago, the JSI showroom is refreshing its looks and products while still maintaining their core message: love what you do.

The JSI showroom this year is an extension of our move to the Fulton Market design scene last year, offering a rich exploration of not only the history of JSI but also what we believe makes our brand so special – the Craft, Culture, and Connection of JSI.

Throughout the space, you’ll experience beautifully upholstered pieces, detailed wood-crafted frames, solid legs and stunning custom pieces that showcase not only our rich history, dating back to our origins in 1876, but also the innovation and ingenuity we bring to our craft today.

JSI: With the launch of JSI Health in March 2024, we wanted to create a space that allows our customers to experience firsthand our passion for inspiring people to love where they thrive, care, and heal — just as we’ve long aspired to ignite passion in people to love what they do.

Inaugural Year Highlights

The Fulton Market showroom showcases a commitment to gathering, interacting and collaborating. But most importantly, it is a place for people to enjoy themselves in the presence of beautifully crafted furniture made by people who love what they do.

JSI: We completely redesigned the showroom and wanted to elevate the brand experience throughout the space. This time, we focused on telling the story of JSI’s history and our culture, highlighting how these elements influence our choices in craft and products as we move forward. Culture, craft and connection embody the ethos of JSI and JSI Health, and we wanted the Fulton Market showroom to reflect those ideals. While we featured our beautiful standard products and the launch of our healthcare offerings, several stunning custom pieces seemed to steal the show.

Take a look before the transformation here.

Upcoming Event:

IIDA Health + Wellness Forum Atlanta Event – November 20 – Stayed tuned for more details!

We are once again hosting the Bizarre Bazaar on November 7th, 5-8pm – at JSI Showroom Fulton Market – alongside IIDA Illinois. Bizarre Bazaar, is an annual maker’s market showcasing various artisan made products. This is a great event that we enjoyed hosting last year because so many of these artisans and artists have these passion projects on the side, but really take pride in their work – anything from soap making to beautiful jewelry. It’s a beautifully congruous story to JSI’s story of passion in craft.

The concept of solids and voids—intricate patterns found in nature— abound. Throughout the showroom, you’ll notice a random grid pattern represented in various interpretations. We’ve integrated this pattern from a 2D expression through materiality and visual elements, extending it to the floor plan, which creates a seemingly random yet grid-like design using products like Poet. We were drawn to this expression of patterns; they resonate with the familiar aspects of nature while also presenting unexpected forms that keep you guessing.

JSI: We focused on creating meeting places and individualized focus spaces in the workplace that emphasize flexibility, personality, and functionality. Spaces like wellness rooms can easily serve as quiet rooms or mother’s rooms, while small meeting rooms designed for 2-3 people can be adjusted to function as private focus rooms.

Surrounded By Innovation

In our Maker’s Mindset area, we’ve presented our full collection of materials, functioning as a creative studio. We’ve also created an interactive wall that tells JSI’s rich history of beauty and innovation, inviting you to roll up your sleeves and run your fingers along each component that makes up JSI’s story of Craft & Connection.

Our Vision casegoods series elevates every moment. Enhancements like the Torii base bring a fresh perspective with architectural details and unexpected inspirational influences. Torii gates throughout Japan stand as symbolic markings of transition. With these architectural elements as inspiration, the Vision Torii base—a solid wood, rounded-style base—creates playful moments that pair well with other elements like rounded corner desks, plush upholstered pieces, or Indie wall tiles. Its wooden dowel-like structure celebrates its end-grain detail as it’s brought flush to the edge of the worksurface. Torii bases offer another way to achieve more organic, softer visual elements.

Satisse

Satisse won the prestigious Innovation Award and Kindera won the Silver Award. We are thrilled and these two wins, alongside the official launch of JSI Health in March, reaffirm our mission to not only understand the profound impact of quality healthcare but to inspire people to love where they thrive, care, and heal — just as we’ve long aspired to ignite passion in people to love what they do.
