Golden Tiki in Las Vegas, Nevada

There’s a lot to look at inside Golden Tiki, one of Las Vegas’s most popular tropical tiki joints. There’s the flickering night sky on the ceiling, the (fake) shrunken heads of celebrities hung along the walls, phallic stained-glass art above the bar, plus the Disney-inspired animatronic birds that spew dirty jokes. The Disney connection continues with Dole Whip on the menu, which is famously available near the Tiki Room at Disneyland. Unlike at Disneyland, though, you can get your Dole Whip here with a floater of rum or as part of a cocktail like the Viking Tiki Negroni, where it’s spiked with vermouth, mead, and aquavit.

Golden Tiki serves both classic tropical drinks and in-house concoctions, from citrus-y, boozy Navy Grog to the Rings of Saturn, a blend of gin, citrus, and passionfruit. If you want your drink to catch the attention of the whole bar, however, ask for the bartender to flame your drink. It’s only a dollar more in return for an eye-popping tower of fire sprayed above your goblet.

There’s a lot of entertainment on the menu, in fact. Not only can you have your drink lit on fire, but you can order it in a hollowed-out pineapple or in a fishbowl with straws for two to four people. Golden Tiki also offers rum flights, as well as a flight of three of its most popular drinks—the painkiller, Mai Thai, and piranha punch. To sop up all the booze, there’s also a food menu which ranges from crab Rangoon to a Hawaiian-style plate lunch.
